Mr. Truck,
I have a 2005 Chevy 2500 HD w/4WD. We love the truck although it is a "work" version and needs a few extras :-) It has a very small tank. I think it is 20, maybe 25 at the most. At 8 MPG we cannot haul a horse trailer very far before stopping for fuel. Do you have any suggestions? We have heard that adding a nice tank under the chassis is not going to work. We have to either remove our tank and put in a 45 gal. tank or add a tank in the bed. Both options cost over 1,000 bucks and we were hoping to do a little better than that. Thanks for the advice. SO far, all your advice has been great. |

I think the short bed is 25 gallon and long bed 30 gallon. GM has that problem. They told me a larger tank was coming. Transfer flow aftermarket tank was the only one, but now there must be 10 other companies to buy from. Transfer Flow is coming out with a cheaper tank that sits in the bed and fills the main tank threw the filler hose. I'll try to get one for a review. You could make your own to do that.
