I was wanting to get the view for fellow horse lovers on what is the best size and name of a truck for hauling a small 2 horse trailer. Any ideas would help. Will a Tahoe tow or any other SUV or is a truck the best thing and which one is the best to tow with. I am looking and dont want to get something that will not work right or cause the transmission to go out. I am on a budget and would be looking at the year or 1994-2000. This would only be used about 2-3 times a month during the summer for fun shows and camping trips. I need help...

Yes .. a Tahoe will tow a small horse trailer. But, I would not extend that to just any SUV. As a blanket statement, get the largest truck you can afford. A large truck can tow a small trailer. It doesn't work in reverse though. A small tow vehicle is not safe in front of a large trailer.

To give you our best advice, we need more info on your needs, desires, and future potentials. You mentioned camping with your horse.. How long do you camp for? and with how many people? How big is your horse? Are you towing in the mountains or will you stay on the flats? Will you need cargo carrying for horse care? Hay is hard to clean from the carpets of the SUV.
