We are the original owners of a 95 Z71 4x4. We have on occassion had to use the four wheel drive when hauling, and always going forward. Recently I used the Truck to move a dead tree from the driveway.I pulled forward to the tree, hooked up, selected 4x low and began backing. The right rear just spun in place. Is this the way a limited slip or posi-track works? Thanks, C.Patrick
No limited slip locks the left rear when the right axle is spinning. The right rear is your driver in a rear wheel drive axle. Sounds like you don't have limited slip or the clutches are shot.

If your right rear tires has always spun in mud or snow, then you didn't have LS or Posi.
