Hello I am currently looking to purchase my first SUV/ Truck so that I can next buy a 2-3 horse bumper trailer for showing my thoroughbreds. I have a couple of choices in mind & want to know which one would be the best suited for my needs. I know the best choices would be a truck though I like going to the city on the weekends & would like to have something that is tough enough for my horses but nice enough for the downtown on the weekends below are my options in my preferred order... thank you.
1) 2007 Chevy Avalanche 1500 LT
2) 2004 Hummer H2
3) 2006 Lincoln Navigator
or if I must get a truck:
4) Lincoln Mark LT

Welcome to our forum

In the world of horse trailers, one SHOULD put the cart before the horse. Decide on the trailer first. You want to have enough tow vehicle for the trailer. It is very expensive or unsafe to find out after hitching trailer to tow vehicle that the vehicle can't handle the trailer. Remember... a large truck can handle a small trailer. The reverse is not true
