I have a 04 Chevy 5500, I am looking for a gooseneck hitch assembly. I can't seem to find anyone who makes a bolt in assembly. I am told the that the frame is narrower than half ton - 1 ton trucks and that is where the problem is. I can find a gooseneck head and fabricate and weld the rest. Does anyone know where I can find one? tdusek@me.com

Welcome to the forum ... As you've discovered, your class 5 truck is a bit out of the typical horse trailer puller range. I suggest you call B+W. They have been very helpful in the past. I use and like their product. The standard B+W tunover ball holder should be able to fit between the 5500 frame rails. Ask them about the flatbed kit or the GN center section. You might have to fabricate your own frame rail mounting plates.
