That can happen on new vehicles, but you usually also get a lower rebate if you take the manufactures special rate. So compare carefully both costs, a point higher with a bank and larger rebate or point lower interest and lower rebate. They don't make it easy, so you have to do your homework. Good luck.

Oops, sorry not to have mentioned that I was referring to buying a used vehicle. Rebates weren't part of the deal.
