I've recently read somewhere that a total model change was coming for the 2006 Sierra 1500. Is there any truth to this? If not, any idea when?, as the current model has been running since '99

Most recent info I read was that GM was hustling to sharpen the design for 2007

I haven't seen any press releases for a change in 2006. I suspect the Suburban might be changed first. 2007 seems to be the year for the big change for GM and Ford. The new diesel emissions go into affect in January of 2007. Which means all the diesels then will be on low sulfur fuel. Ford is flying me to New York this month to drive the 2006 Explorer and see those changes.
