I currently use a 1997 Dodge 1500 to pull a 2 horse, aulm. GN trailer with a small LQ. While it can do it, it struggles on hills and uses oil when towing now. Hubby has shinny new truck snydrome and wants to buy a 2006 F250 4x4 w/lock out hubs and tow package. Price was $36.500 and now is $27,500 with all of Ford's incentives. Is this a good deal and wil it tow my trailer better than my Dodge? Any problems with the F25 that I should be aware of?

Haven't heard of many problems for the 2006 Ford F250. 2003 was the bad year with some at the begining of 2004 model year. Is the new truck a diesel? If is then is night and day difference in towing, if V-10 gas, it's still more than what you have in your Dodge if a 360 5.8L. Here is my 05 Super Duty review, http://www.mrtruck.net/ford05sd.htm
