The short version. I love the Cummins diesel in the Dodge, love the room in the Ford cab and part-time 4x4, but you'll have transmission trouble before you wear out a diesel, so my #1 choice for 2005-06 is the GM (GMC, Chevy) Duramax with the Allison automatic. My ancestors are turning over in their graves. (Long lineage of Fords and John Deeres.)
