Ford just announced a new Extended Warranty for Powerstroke Diesel equipped vehicles. The warranty would extend to 7 years or 200,000 miles and would kick in after the factory 5 year/100,000 mile warranty expires. There is no deductable and the warranty can be purchased anytime before the factory warranty expires. There are two different plans, The Diesel Engine Care package covers 13 major components and is available for any truck that is still under the 5/100,000 coverage, the Diesel Engine Care Plus package covers 21 components and must be purchased before the 3/36,000 base warranty expires.
Just wanted to pass this on, I just found out yesterday in a meeting with the Ford Execs.

You can still buy one as long as the truck is within 5 years of original purchase.
