Just a note on the edge. We had one put in a 1997 F250 super duty 7.3 diesel for more power in mtns. First one didnt work so diesel mechanic ordered another one and put it in. Worked fine in Mo but in Colo Truck got too hot going up mtns and had to back off to about 5miles per hour.(Pyrometer gauge went over the top) So we took it to a diesel shop to have it put back to stock. When he did, it wiped the whole program out of truck which then wouldnt start. Had to wait a week for edge to send new program to mechanic and get it fixed. In the meantime we had a 23ft horse trailor to pull and horses. Had to get a ride to Denver to rent a truck which cost big bucks as couldnt stay where we were.Once the diesel shop got the program and went back to stock, we had no more problems. Was a very expensive lesson and edge did refund money for chip but we were out all the rest of expense. Edge said had to be our truck, the mechanic or whatever as couldnt possible be their chip.Truck always ran fine without it before and after. Dont know about anyone else, but sure wont try their product again.

Sorry to hear that. I have a 97 F350 and have been running the Edge Evolution for a couple of years without any problems. One thing to consider, when running any chip, the chip is designed to deliver more fuel, which in turn developes more heat, especially under a load. When I run the mountains and the Pyro hits 1200, I kick it down a gear and hammer it. The additional airflow from the higher rpm helps to keep the EGT's at a manageable level. I've seen a lot of ruined turbos because people will leave it in overdrive and try to back it down and the temps still stay high. The only way to cool it down and stay at a higher speed is to gear down. Also, make sure you're towing in the towing program, not the race or extreme programs. If you really want to run a chip, make sure you have a 4 inch exhaust system and add an intercooler if the budget permits it. The intercooler helped a TON with my temps while towing.
