Can you provide a better description of the chatter? The Wastegate won't chatter, it will stay closed under hard acceleration and will only open when you back off the throttle. You said you're pulling hard in overdrive, you should be in third, could the chatter be coming from the torque convertor instead? Have you tried changing gears and see if the chatter is still there or changes in any way?

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be the chip causing it. Removed chip, no more chatter.
