How long does the Fifth Wheel Lube Plate last? I am heading out west and do I need to unhitch and replace this along the route or will it last both back and forth from NH to Wyoming?

Good question, mine is 1/8 inch thick, but I use it mostly for test RV's as they are new and don't want the kingpin looking used. I think you could use it for at least a year without wearing to thin.

I had mine on for two years before switching to a gooseneck conversion, showed very little signs of wear. Just check it periodically, if it starts getting thin, replace it. I used to carry a spare but have never needed it.
