trukdog@wk.net I have a 2004 dodge dually 4x4 turbo diesel, 4.10 axle, long bed, six speed transmission, jake brake. Getting ready to go full time, what is the maximum weight I can tow. Also recommendation on tires for truck and 5th wheel and shocks. I am going to install super springs and have already put on K&N cold air injection filter. Anything else you can think of that I need to do to be safe. Am going crazy trying to decide what I need to do to comply with all laws.
If your 3500 is a HO and regular cab, max trailer capacity is 15,850#'s. if Quad cab it goes to 16,000# for 4x4. If you have a 2004.5 with the "600" torque, It maybe more I can't remember if they changed towing capacity mid year.

If you keep the truck along time, Michelins can't be beat. I like Bridgestones also. I've had the worst luck with Goodyear Wranglers. Bilstien shocks are my favorite. For 5th-wheels I like to convert them to gooseneck ball. Less play in the hitch and the ball disappears so you can use the bed and not have to lift the heavy 5th wheel out. Check out Pop-Up 5th-wheel conversions, http://mrtruck.net/popuprv.htm
