I have a Nissan Titan SE 4x4 with the Big Tow package which is rated to tow 9500#. I have lifted my truck with a Pro Comp 6" Lift and I'm running on 315/70/17 BFG TA ko. My wife and I recently decided to get a travel trailer. I'm thinking about a Wildwood LE 26' with a GVWR at 7520# or a Rockwood 27' 2602 with a GVWR of 6532# so I think these will be well within the limit...I hope?
Since I'm new to towing I'm wondering the following: .Am I within the limit and how much trailer (weight wise) can my Titan handle? .Do I need to be concerned about my lift and towing .Do I need to also invest in a pair of upgraded Deaver springs or airbags even though I plan on a WD hitch? Thanks ahead of time for any information. Dave |

With the tow package you'll be fine with 9500#'s of trailer as long as it's dead weight like a travel trailer. 6" lift might be tricky for a wdh to transfer enough weight to the front axle. You'll want the shank with the WHD to be low enough to match your trailer tongue. I like Equalizer for wdh, article, http://mrtruck.net/wdh.htm I like SuperSprings over air bags but don't know if you can fit the lift kit if the springs are different. If the springs stayed the same and just spaced the axle, they should work.
