Hi, Dodge short beds from 2003 on in HD is 6'3", GM is 6'6" and Ford is 6'8", so there are alot of variables along with different king pin hitch reaches. Pop up has 10 inch king pin extensions and gooseneck extension adapters. Check out, http://mrtruck.net/popuprv.htmH. I have a 5th wheel and a Dodge Quad 1500 short bed. I want to go gooseneck. Can I get the RV2 with the built in 9" ext and then add the SB116 for an additional 16" offset? Or is that just going to cause weakness in the setup? I am really regretting not getting a full size bed.

Yeah, I think that would be too much. The RV2 will give you 9 inches more room and convert you to a bed ball hitch. If you have a B&W or Popup bed hitch, you can get their 4 inch ball adapter too. That's what alot of folks do with the 5.5' bed on Ford SuperCrew and the short crew cab Silverado. H.
