I am looking at a 2002 GMC 2500HD with a 6.0 l Is there a problem with piston slap and are these engines OK.
Is there any brake problems with this year/model?
Thanks
Pat

Don't rememeber a brake problem. Piston slap is on Technical Service Bulliten from GM for "cold engine knock" so your local GM service center can look it up and see if you can get a free extended warranty and a lot of folks have.

The 4.8L and 5.3L had more problems with piston slap than did the 6.0L. The 6.0 is a good engine.
