I have a '01 F-350 4x4 SRW, 9900# GVW, w/airbags. Carrying a 3400# slide-in camper. This thing is heavy, sways, also have 265x16 ld. range 'E' michelins. Thinking of installing an anti-sway bar on the rear and going with tires that has more sidewall support. Any other suggestions that would improve this combination? Thanks.

I'm a fan of SuperSprings. Ford stretched the rear leafs 3 inches in 99 so more lean on curves and more squat. If you have the factory option Camper Package, it will have the top overload and anti-sway bar. A larger (thicker) anti-sway bar would help. May camper folk go to Rickson wheels and 14 ply tires too.

Thanks for the reply.
The Rickson tires/wheels are too "pricey"for me. Are there other options to gain more stability? Would going to Firestone "destination" ( only ld.range "D" avail.) be any better than the Michelins 265x16 ld."E" that I have now, because of firmer sidewalls? In the state of Maine, this year, they have allowed to go 2 sizes higher from the door stamped tire size. That allows me togo to 285x16. I have very limited choices in tires with a load range "E" or greater.
What manufacturer of rear sway bar should I install? ( Don't have one on the truck now. I've also installed the Rancho RS 9000X shocks.
Thanks,
otis

I like Hellwig anti-sway bar, here's a install article from our HemiTruckClub.com site, http://hemitruckclub.com/MrHemi%20Install/Hellwig%20Ant...ay%20Bar/hellwig.htm I would try that next and get the largest size they have for your truck.
