i need a horse trailer that can tow between 5 and 7 horses comfortably. problem is i have no idea where to begin looking. could you please lend me some guidance as far as brands, and configurations. also, what are your thoughts on new versus used? ... and if u would recommed looking at something used, what are the things to look out for? .. money, as always, is a concern but im mostly concerned with the safety of the horses. 90% of traveling will be within a 300 mile radius .. as far as a truck, my thought was to decide on a trailer first, then purchase a truck accordingly. thank you for your insights

First step is to really decide on your needs. Then go to a reputable trailer dealer in your area. Before you actually commit to buying a trailer, that fits your needs, find out what its loaded hitch weight will be and the total loaded weight. Then, you can go truck shopping.

You'll want to know how costly the whole rig will be. (unless money is no object. Then just send me some)

It does not matter how short your trips will be. It only takes a few hundred yards to get into a very messy accident if your truck and trailer is mis-matched.
