I really need some help. I have a 2004 Dodge 5.7 Hemi and pull a Trails West Sierra II 2 horse slant. We would like to move up to a 3 horse GN w/ weekend type LQ. Of course we would still only be hauling 2 horses. Can we do a GN with this vehical or do we have to buy a 3/4 ton diesel? Looking for help and possible alternatives ie. air shocks, helper sprigs etc. Please any advice will be most appreciated. Happy Trails
Do you have a 2500? What axle ratio? Which transmission? What does the trailer weigh loaded?

Yeah you are too high weight for your truck. Even with a Hemi 2500 and 4.10 axle, it would be close because of the double overdrive in that 545RFE 5-speed auto. If you had a 6-speed manual, it would tow better if you want to stay with the Hemi gas engine and not go up to a Cummins.
