I have a 2008 Jay Flight 22FB Unloaded weight 4080 Dry Hitch 475 and GVWR 6000. Pulling with 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500.
My question is, how do I know if I have the bars pulled up tight enough? Do I just look at the trailer and truck to see if it is level?
thanks, OregonFlip

I have a GN trailer so I can't tell you directly from my experience but ... From Mrtruck's web site

http://www.mrtruck.net/wdh.htm

"...ideally when loaded the rear of your towing vehicle should only be one inch lower than the front measured inside the wheel well. And similar to a gooseneck/5th wheel setup, you'll end up with 1/3 of the trailer weight on the tow vehicle. I'd be inclined to shoot for 1/4 of the trailer weight on the towing vehicle. To be precise you may want to weigh your towing vehicle and trailer by axle to get your Gross Axle Weight Rating for the front and rear axles on both tow vehicle and trailer to see how well distributed the weight is."
