I have just bought a g/n trailer and will be towing it with a full-size hwy. tractor, and am looking for an adapter to put on the ball hitch of the trailer so it will fit into the hwy. tractor's 5th wheel. Anyone have any ideas on where I can get such a thing please?

You might consider having a machine shop make one. King pin on the bottom of a steel plate, and a 2 5/16 ball on the top side.

Hosspuller's part is available on E-bay. They call it a "5th Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch to Gooseneck Adapter" The brand is "Workhorse" but I don't know who makes it and have never seen one.

Also, if your trailer takes a "standard" gooseneck coupler with a 4" removable inner pipe, you can get an adapter off the shelf at our place. We get them from Century Wheel and Rim, but I don't know if they are available from Quality Trailer Parts as well. Also, I would not be suprised if Transwest had them, as they sell alot of big trucks.

Make sure to get one with a "shove" plate or spacer plate. I have seen some without this.
