I have a 99 Durango that I'm currently using to pull a 2H trailer.
Pulls fine with one horse but will lift up a little when hauling 2. Would like to buy a WD system online but need to determine the bar sizing. The trailer tongue is short. I was told by one person that I need 24" bars. Most bars I see are 30" or longer. How do you measure for the bar sizes? |

Hi, my spring bars are 36" but I set my around 29". On most wdh you have to buy a differnet set of spring bars to change the length. The 3' range gives you the most leverage for moving the weight forward. Equalizer wdh at, http://mrtruck.net/wdh.htm shows how their spring bars go threw the tonque brackets and can be changed to length by how far you put the bar threw the bracket. So no chains, and the bars will slide under the tongue so they should work with your trailer. But 24 " is short and won't distribute as much weight forward.
