I'm having a new Exiss trailer delivered in a couple of days and as I have been waiting, I have been bouncing around the web. Does anyone have anything good to say about these trailers? Different forums, but mostly the same people it seems. I'm aware that they are not the the top of the line, but they seem to be put together pretty well. Can anyone give me some positive feedback about my choice in trailers. My wife is the horse person in our family and she had the most say in what she wanted in her trailer.
The dealer spent quite a lot of time showing us his different lines and was really helpful. |

Exiss trailers fill a market niche. They have two lines... Event and sport. The event is a better trailer. That said, Exiss sells a lot of them. In any large population, there will be a couple of poorly matched trailer/owners. You're hearing from a few of them.
A couple of my friends have Exiss trailers, (some multiple Exiss trailers) They 've all been pleased with it. Be aware that all trailer floors needs to be kept clean. End products of horses are corrosive to aluminum and steel. It's a royal pain, but do pull the mats and hose it out. Let it dry before wrestling the mats back in. I pull mats & hose my trailer out every time a horse urinates in the trailer. We're fussy and use the horse area for storage when camping. |

I was told to go Sundowner and paid a lot of money just over a year ago for a 4H with LQ. Corrosion at the bottom of every panel, rust spots on the doors (aluminum doors!!) and Sundowner, which boasts the best warranty in the business, refuses to honour the warranty. Numerous problems with this trailer, including rotten wiring, shorting out, leaky roof and doors, etc. etc. Exiss can't be any worse and is a lot cheaper. Just don't buy Sundowner.
