Hi,

I have a Kingston 2 horse BP made from aluminum with a steel frame. I just traded in my '94 160000k Chevy C2500 for a 2003 Chevy Silverado EC 1500 4.8l V8. Should I have went for a 2500 or a stronger engine? I actually hooked up the trailer, and loaded one horse for a drive--it seemed fine for hills, and stopping, but should I worry in the long run? I will use this truck primarily in the summer to haul mainly one, but sometimes two horses. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thx,
Theresa

Theresa ... Yes, you bought the right truck. At the time of purchase it was the right decision for you. It still is. The truck will do fine for the horse trailer towing you've described. As for stopping, you have installed a brake controller for the trailer brakes ...right ?? Make sure the trailer brakes are working and the controller is properly adjusted. Drive carefuly and enjoy your rig.

Thanks for the info. I do plan on getting the controller installed this Wednesday.
