Your reply to "What Used Trailer to Buy?", you said that didn't want them. Is there a reason? Just wondering. I have pros and cons and like you say, "Opinions are like --- everybody has one." I just bought a 4h gn Trails West with mangers. If and when I get another trailer I think I will stay from them. Just looking for some more inputs. Thanks Bru |

Hi Bru .. Just my opinions:
We have horses on the long side of the spectrum. 16H... In a slant load, the manger reduces the space available for the horse to brace. The manger doesn't allow the horse to lower his head to chest level to blow mucus and dust. We tie to the side ring of the halters to let the horse put his head down, yet keep him from getting his neighbor or himself in trouble. And speaking of trouble, We've have a friend's horse get a foot up in the manger and get stuck on the lip. So the benefit of having a little storage space is at the expense and comfort of the horse. We just stash the stuff in the third stall and DR. |

Thank you. That is some of the same things I had heard. I hope I don't run into any issues with them. When I was looking for a trailer, this thing popped up and the price was right.
Thanks for your input. Bru |
