I have a 2005 GMC Envoy XL (7 passenger), with a tow weight of 6100 lbs. I will be towing a Trails West 2H Angle Haul with a weight of 3,000 lbs (I believe). Travelling just locally with one horse (1,000 lbs), minimal tack, etc. Is this sufficient? Thanks.

The answer will depend on the axle ratio of your Envoy.

There were three ratios available:

3.42 5300 pounds of trailer
3.73 5800
4.10 6300

As long as you stay with one horse, you'll be within GM's ratings. You'll have to experiment with the placement of the horse (front or rear stall) to find the most stable position.
