I have just received a Morgan built 2-horse slant 3500# empty and am looking to purchase a truck to haul it. It would carry 2 1200# horses. i have been looking at F150 since it would also be a daily driver. I live in Wa and have hills and would tow to both Oregon and Canada. If a larger truck would be better, which one? Thanks

The gas-powered F-150 won't do what you want. GET A DIESEL with the torque you need to climb and descend those hills or you'll be sorry. With that in mind, select the truck make/model that best fits your needs. Beware of the seller/dealer that tells you that the 150 or 1500 series will "pull 7,000 lbs." Only on a flat stretch with the wind behind you...
