Hello! I have a 2001 Hart 2 horse straight load gooseneck trailer (TB model) and a 2000 GMC 2500 I also have a Tekonsha prodigy brake controller. I currently have my brake controller set on boost 3 with the knob all the way up in order to work well on my trailer. I recently hauled someones Sundowner identical to my Hart on that same brake setting and it jerked bad until I set it on boost 1. Why is mine so different?! Any ideas about what is wrong? my connection is fine to my truck. is it the trailer's wiring? Also- all my lights work except one brake light (not the top brake light bar either) and one blinker... Thanks! ~HH~

I am not expert but I am using the Prodigy. What I found was that no trailer is alike as far as the brakes. When you first installed your break controller, you should have done a test on what power setting was ideal for your trailer without locking trailers brakes up using the manual handle at 25mph. I am surprised you have it way up to b3...seems high. Anyway, your power setting may be different on your friends trailer. Brakes may be newer or older but I would be surprised that power setting would be the same. Look at Prodigy install instructions again and reset power setting to each specific trailer you tow.
Hope this makes sense.
