I'm in the market for a horse trailer, as our old Kingston was no longer safe due to frame rot. I'd prefer to get a used trailer, with the economy being what it is, and am looking for a light bumper pull. Our tow vehicle is a Nissan Xterra with a V6, and our two horses are small (14.1h) Arabians. I'm supposed to look at an old Merhow this week ... anyone know if they are any good? I would love to find a used Brenderup, but they seem pretty scarce, and the new ones are very expensive. Can anyone give any suggestions as to what might be a good trailer in the $6000 and under range? Something that can be pulled by our SUV, is light and well-made, and doesn't have a ramp (like my old Kingston did) that seems to be invented for the sole purpose of breaking the back of whomever is trying to lift it?
