Hi, I have a 2000 Toyota Tundra. V6, 2wd. Can I tow a small light horse trailer with 1 horse, about 950lbs? Local only, occasional trail rides.

I was only able to find this on your truck...
http://vlane.com/specification...l-SR5-specifications The max trailer weight is 5,000 pounds. I think it is a bit under powered for horse trailer use. But if you're careful, you'll be okay for your stated use. Remember to load your one horse on the left side if a straight load trailer. You'll want most of the trailer's weight on the crown of the road. Also, if you make a driving mistake and run off the edge of the road, having the horse on the left will minimize the upset. |
