Has anyone ever had trouble getting a horse to adjust from trailering in a stock/slant load trailer to trailering in an enclosed straight load? My horse has FALLEN DOWN twice in my new trailer (both time she was put in it) and is now afraid to even load. This horse is a veteran traveller; I've personally hauled her for the last six years, including a move across the country. However she has always been hauled in a slant load or open stock style trailer before. Has anyone ever run into this problem? I am desperate! What is going on here? What should I do about it? I am at the point of getting ready to trade in the new trailer and get her a stock trailer before she hurts herself.

is it a small trailer? she may be feeling claustrophobic, and be panicking.
