Hi,
I am looking to buy a 2 horse trailer (steel), I will probably only haul 1 horse but have a 2 door Ford Explorer 2000. Does it have the capacity to pull a trailer?

Thanks

Annie

Does your Sport have an automatic or manual tranny? 2 door has a shorter wheelbase than a 4 door, so that's against you as far as stabiltiy. Be sure to use a weight distributing hitch. I think 2000 is the last year of rear mono-beam axle and leaf springs which is good. If you have a manual transmission it's only rated for 2500#'s, so I wouldn't do it.
