looking at the Dodge 1 ton mega cab short bed. any down side to manuverability vs the extended cab long bed 2500 I have currently? Will be a 4X4 this time.

Manuverability should be fine, if you plan on using a gooseneck, you're going from 8' bed to a 6' 3" bed though.
