I have a 6.5 turbo diesel with engine blow by from the dipstick as well as intake. This is a jasper engine with only 51,000 miles. Help. Mechanics are unsure of diagnosis and Jasper refuses to warranty. any suggestions? Six of the eight pistons and cylinders tested fine with a diagnostic scope then the mechanic wanted to pull off the turbo to look at the other two. Mixed reviews as to what to do next.
It was a new crate motor installed at the dealership. The warrranty is only two years or 75000 miles I am over on time by two months but well underneath the milage. This motor has almost no milage on it. I just dropped it off at another mechanic to try and diagnos the problem but most of the mechanics in my area don't work on diesels. I had all of my other work on this truck done better than 200 miles away for that reason. I just hate to have it hauled when I have no idea whats wrong. Im in current contact with Jasper because even though the fine print excludes the warranty there must of been some type of problem with the original crate motor to have this type of problem with such few miles.
